Dr. Susie Eustis is a research scientist with extensive experience in nanotechnology, materials, and characterization. As a Technology Partnership Manager at Anzu Partners, Dr. Eustis works with companies inside and outside of the portfolio on establishing and strengthening partnerships for commercial and government programs.
Prior to joining Anzu Partners, Dr. Eustis worked as a research scientist at Directed Vapor Technologies developing an advanced physical vapor deposition technique for improved performance and decreased cost of thermal barrier coatings, as well as corrosion prevention and energy storage. Dr. Eustis managed government and commercial contracts totaling >$3 million, successfully converting government SBIR Phase I and Phase II programs to the next stage. Dr. Eustis was granted a patent for her work on developing corrosion resistant coatings.
Dr. Eustis was a National Research Council (NRC) postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) focusing on microscopy and spectroscopy techniques to interrogate material properties. Her Ph. D. research at Georgia Tech under Mostafa El-Sayed focused on the optical properties of gold and silver nanoparticles, where her introduction to optical properties of nanoparticles has received >2,000 citations.
Dr. Eustis earned her B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), with highest honors, and her Ph. D. from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). She is author of 19 peer reviewed publications, 3 of which have been on the journals “most accessed” or “hot article” list, and 1 issued patent.
