Rob Haralson leads communications and government relations for Anzu Partners and provides PR support and strategic counsel to its portfolio companies.
Rob has nearly two decades of communications and public policy experience. During his tenure in Washington, D.C., Rob has helped numerous corporations, industry coalitions and trade associations navigate complex communications challenges for high-stakes legislative and regulatory battles, government investigations, civil and criminal lawsuits and other crises.
Prior to joining Anzu, Rob was a partner at the Franklin Square Group, a technology- and innovation-focused government relations and strategic communications firm, where he provided senior-level communications counsel to the firm’s clients, including Apple, Belkin International, Dropbox, eBay, Magic Leap and others.
Previously, he served as a Managing Director at Chlopak, Leonard, Schechter and Associates, and provided counsel to companies like Cisco, Google, IBM and Intel, and was a Director at 463 Communications, a PR and public affairs firm with offices in Washington and San Francisco.
Early in his career, Rob served as communications director and policy director to a national technology trade association, and spent several years on Capitol Hill as communications director and senior legislative aide to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rob is a proud native of the great state of Tennessee, received his BA in English from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and his MA in Public Policy from the American University in Washington, D.C. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, two children and a very lazy 12-year-old yellow lab.
