Starting his career as a Weapon Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy, Nick managed weapons, sensors, and C4ISR systems on various warships, later diversifying his military experience by serving with UK Special Forces in combat roles. His naval career concluded with a strategic technology deployment role at Naval Headquarters in the UK.
Transitioning from military to corporate, Nick excelled in strategic corporate and business development, securing over $200 million in government contracts prior to co-founded a tech startup focusing on data solutions enabling workflow optimization across defense, national security, critical infrastructure and public health. Nick’s strategic influence grew as he was chosen to help develop private capital engagement strategies for the UK Defense Solutions Center, influencing the thesis of the UK National Security Strategic Innovation Fund. His advisory roles have spanned technology innovation and investment in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Nick holds an MSc in Engineering and Management, a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and several professional certifications, including FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79. Nick is a Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, focusing on the resolution of national security challenges in the Pacific.
